Referral pads are a common tool for an acupuncture practice to establish referral relationships with western doctors. The acupuncturist meets with local doctors, describes his/her range of treatments, and leaves behind one or two of these pads. Later, when the doctor sees a patient with a problem that is best treated with herbs or acupuncture, it is easy to refer the patient over. They are printed in sets of 50 sheets bound with glue on the side and are fairly low cost.
