There’s a ton of our studio and location shots of David Serby posted over at his cool new website.
With a new record “Honkeytonk and Vine” hitting the airwaves any day now, we should be hearing quite a bit from David in the next few months. He’s one of the most exciting things going on in country music here in So Cal right now, and we’re proud to be part of his team.
David Wood is a traditional country crooner in the style of Ernest Tubbs, with a deep deep bass voice and a song catalog co-written with many of Nashville’s finest writers. Look for his debut album in June 2009.

Country gentleman David Serby returned to the studio this week for some new promotional portraits. Keep an eye out for a new record from Dave soon… with all the heat his career has been enjoying, this one is sure to be burning up the country charts in a city near you SOON.

Just received the good word that James Lee Stanley, one of my performing songwriter heroes, will be using one of my live photos of him (taken at a 2008 FarWest Folk Alliance showcase) as the cover for his upcoming live record. Stay tuned for further news on this news!

The Janks are a great new rock band with a sound like a modern Queen. We went for an old school vibe with these photos, which were shot in Laurel Canyon at the home of their manager and the surrounding countryside. Lots of saturated and unsaturated colors, natural imagery, great lighting conditions, and some very patient band members.

Photos for a new business attire collection by Geraldine Fay. The shoot was done economically here at the studio, by photographing the model in front of a backdrop and then replacing the background with environments befitting the classiness of this new label.

I had the good fortune of a personal tour of the Hollywood Sign today by one of its long time trustees. Once you are through all the heavy security (infrared cameras, microphones, motion detectors, razor wire, etc), you still have to climb down on a rope to the Sign itself. Just a few photos, since I had to hang on to the hillside…
